Ever heard of Samuel Beckett’s classic play, “Waiting for Godot”? Initial impressions of it might leave one feeling confused, oppressed, and hopeless. But it’s a great metaphor for life, especially for those who feel that life is one long waiting game. One thing I’ve learned is that we never truly “arrive,” though there are occasions when we have the illusion that we do.
Anyway, I’ve experienced more challenges than I’ve ever had to encounter in a short span of time. The latest has been health-related. It’s given me a greater appreciation for the plight of those who feel immobilized because of pain or sickness. And, though I take pride in zoning in on the top half of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, I can’t deny the element of truth in the old adage, “When you’ve got your health, you’ve got everything.” For me, “When you’ve got your health, you’re better able to enjoy all the rest of life’s perks.” Let’s just say that of late, I’ve become well acquainted with the valley of darkness.
So, back to brighter things. I have to show off some cover art ideas for my next CD, “Find Me,” If you have a moment, e-mail me at kking@thegoldenexperience.com to place your vote, or leave a comment. I already know my number one vote, but I’d love to hear from you anyway. Thanks!

>I like option and photo number two. She looks like a lost girl needing to be found.
