I’ve discovered that Emilou has the capacity to touch the lives of children. At three recent children’s events, I’ve seen little girls moved with tears.
“Are you sad because Emilou reminds you of someone, or just because you’re sad about Emilou?” I asked a little girl who shed tears throughout one of my presentations which included songs and stories about Emilou’s life.
“Because of Emilou,” she replied.
“Well, the real Emilou would be so pleased to know that you cared about her,” I reassured her.
And then I had Emilou Goldenpuppet reassure her that she was glad to have made a new friend.
A smile erased the tears.
