"I just wanted to let you know how your CD is helping my organization capture the hearts of those I work with. FYI: I'm responsible for facilitating learning in all of our 25 care communities, regarding person centered care. I have developed a comprehensive training program so that each of our care communities can grow in offering person centered care. This involves retreats, supervisory training, and in-house (all staff) programming. (It covers about a 15 month time period) We call this our "Journey to Home". Within this Journey I have:
*Offered your CD as a resource (giving them info so they can contact you and purchase the CD)
*I've had your song, "Somebody Help Me", playing as people arrive for one of the retreats. (Of course I always give you credit!) Which then leads into a discussion where the group identifies things that they do within their care community that they don't do within their own homes. and...
*I've played your song "Not Dead Yet" to introduce discussion about them sharing dreams...both theirs and of residents.
I just thought that you might find it interesting to know that your work not only is beautiful to listen to, but inspires meaningful conversation. Thank you for writing such heart felt songs, that in turn have helped us on our Journey!" - Susan Marsico, Consultant and Corporate Trainer
"I attended the Pioneer Network conference last year in Little Rock and attended your session on the last day and was able to hear the stories and the songs that resulted from all those wonderful relationships you built with the elders. I wanted to tell you what an impact that had for me and that in my current position, I teach person-centered care to the eight counties of Western New York. Every person that attends my sessions gets to hear you sing "I Want To Die". In fact. after I attended the session, I bought the CD on site, typed up the lyrics, uploaded it onto my computer and everyone gets to take them home to ponder after the lessons have been taught. I have linked your web page to my web site under the tab Resources and then on the left a link to motivational tools and tips. I have even played that song for the New York State regulators that I had the pleasure of teaching in Buffalo and Rochester and they were emotionally moved. Thank you for your gifts of song and for the contributions you make to the industry. Your music has touched far more lives than you realize." - Rhonda Rotterman, B.S.N., R.N.C., LNHA, Executive Director , WNY Alliance for Person-Centered Care
"There are still days I wanna throw up my hands and go flip burgers at Burger King but then I get in my car and listen to your songs and it is ok! I have your CD in my car and it never get old. Used it at my Memory Care Family Meeting and it was a huge success! Thanks!" - Jerry Lynn
"The CD's are wonderful! I can't wait to share them with my family. We've all been walking around singing the Yuk, Yuk, Yuk song -- ha!" - Ruth Hoff
"The CD is great! You have a great gift and are very good. The production is great as well. So far, the songs that grabbed me are Hello, I Want to Die, and The Person in the Picture Ain't Me. Keep writing and singing! You're very caring and compassionate." - Rick Roberts
"Your songs are truly making a difference and of all the ways that I can express my gratitude the simple phrase 'GOD BLESS YOU' somehow seems to be the best!" - Diana Thompson
"I've been trying to spread the word for you. I'm loving the CD, thanks again!" - Tammy Patterson
"I just watched your you tube post, Too Old To Cry. It would be a great training tool for activity assistants. I can not give you enough praise for this song. You have made my day! Yes, I will admit I had tears in my eyes." - Anna
