The Best Things In Life Are Free

by Kareen King on July 21, 2011

There was an article on the MSN homepage this week about things that used to be totally free including water, national and state park entrances, bank services, public school, television, etc. So, I thought I’d use this topic as a catalyst for a discussion with the elders at Wellsville Retirement Community on the free things we value most.

After affirming each “offering” by listing it on a dry erase board, I concluded our event by enlisting the help of some teenage volunteers to “receive” hugs from each of the participants. Free hugs will never go out of style.
